LARAMIE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS | Brittnay & Ben

Rick and I have been Laramie wedding photographers for over 13 years. And although we’ve photographed hundreds of weddings through the years, we love that every wedding is so uniquely different. Brittnay and Ben’s big day was nothing short of amazing. Limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic allowed these two to have a much smaller and intimate wedding day that was filled with emotion every step of the way.

Brittnay and Ben began their day by getting ready with their closest friends and family and followed that up with a beautiful ceremony officiated by Ben’s father on the lawn of the historic Laramie Railroad Depot. After stealing these two for some bridal portraits on the UW campus, we all headed back to Altitude Chophouse & Brewery for their intimate and private wedding reception.

Brittnay chose to get ready in a gorgeous and elegant old mansion near the UW campus. Her dress was timeless and matched the atmosphere of the mansion perfectly.

Each step of the getting ready process is so important and we love capturing each moment individually. This moment…

…and having her mom put her necklace on seems pretty common. But Brittnay’s mom had been in the hospital the day before the wedding and was allowed out to be there on her wedding day. Seeing her there to help her daughter get ready is such an emotional moment.

Brittnay was such a stunning and beautiful bride and her fun personality was there throughout the day.

We often wonder what is going through the mind of our clients as they prepare in the final moments before the ceremony.

These cuff links were a very special gift that was given to Ben from his lovely bride to be.

The cuff links were engraved with a personal message as well as their wedding date.

Attempting to tie his tie 1) without a mirror and 2) with Rick’s lens so close had to be a challenge but Ben was a superstar and made it work!

THIS. This is why we do what we do. Capturing these types of moments like Ben’s reaction to seeing Brittnay coming down the aisle is definitely our passion and why we love being Laramie wedding photographers.

It was a blessing to the couple and special moment to have Ben’s father there to officiate the wedding ceremony.

How can you not get a little emotional when marrying you son and soon to be daughter-in-law?

Ben and his guys were such a fun group and as Rick said, they strategically had similar buy completely different facial hair. LOL!

You could tell within in a few minutes just how important Ben and Brittnay are to their bridal party.

An attractive couple, a handsome and fun bridal party and a historic train depot? Yes, our job is pretty easy.

Brittnay’s girls in her bridal party were more like sisters than friends. these three were so close.

Men in Black? Secret Service? Or Ben’s best man and groomsman?

Ben and Brittnay’s bridal party were so close to them and such an important part of their day.

Ben is a great guy and a public servant. We are so grateful for you and what you do every day, Ben.

After spending some time photographing the bridal party , we kicked them out so these two could enjoy some alone time as new husband and wife.

How stunning is Brittnay in this photo? Her hair is blowing perfectly here. And when living in Laramie wedding photographers are always grateful for a *light breeze*.

We found that when we left Ben and Brittnay alone together, THAT is when the newlywed magic would happen.

If you’re photographing on the UW campus you HAVE to get some shots at War Memorial Stadium.

We even got a little blessing at the end of these portraits as the sun peeked out for just a bit.

What an amazingly beautiful ring that Ben chose for Brittnay! My inner 8 year old LOVES all the sparkle in this shot!

The first dance as husband and wife and the adoring look from a man head over heels in love!

I believe that during this dance these two forgot everyone else and felt like the only two people in the room.

I’ve mentioned several times, but the toasts are some of our favorite parts of the day. Rick and I absolutely LOVE the personal stories we get to hear about our brides and grooms.

Some of those stories are absolutely hilarious, embarrassing and make everyone laugh out loud.

Other speeches from the bridal party can be so thoughtful, full of love and emotional…

…that they bring us all to tears. Again, as Laramie wedding photographers we love getting to witness these incredible moments.
