SNOWY RANGE WYOMING ELOPEMENT | Selena & Phillip – Snowy Range Ski

New on the blog today is the most gorgeous wintry Snowy Range Wyoming elopement. Selena & Phillip traveled to Centennial, WY from out of state to have the elopement day of their dreams. This post features photos from their subzero but stunning ceremony at the Snowy Range Ski Area as well as their intimate private reception held at the Old Corral. Cannot wait for you to see our favorite photos from their special day!

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

These two got ready at the Old Corral Hotel & Steakhouse as well as had the most beautiful and intimate reception there as well. This was our first time photographing an event there and both the space and the food was top notch!

This Snowy Range Wyoming elopement was so wintry, even down to Selena’s snowflake details when it came to her hair and jewelry. Loved all the sparkle she included!

Selena & Phillip’s Snowy Range Wyoming elopement was deeply personal and intimate. Selena got ready surrounded by her best friends and her beautiful mother. She spent the day laughing, smiling and surrounded by love from all of her favorite people, ready to marry the man of her dreams!

I always love when our clients write their vows out the day of. It is always such a special thing to see them taking a moment, finding the right words no doubt with a head filled with memories and love for each other.

Selena was so lovely on the day of her elopement. Most brides have to concern themselves with hair & makeup for their ceremony. Something that will last all day into the night and still be stunning. Selena had these same thoughts however she also had to think about how her hair would hold up in the snow, how her makeup would do in the freezing temperatures. Their Snowy Range Wyoming elopement was more than just an elopement, it was an ADVENTURE for sure.

Again with the snowflake embellishments! Its giving Frozen for sure am I right?!

Selena chose to do a first look with her proud papa before he walked with her down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment. PS: See those hiking poles? One might think they were for show or to look cool… For this Snowy Range Wyoming elopement, they blazed a trail to the perfect spot across pristine snow. Those poles were totally there to help him for stability and allow him to get his sweet girl to the ceremony site without any slips or falls.

I just want to be Selena in the winter. Adorable gloves, snowflake headband and the coziest and CUTEST fur cape to keep her warm. She is Snowy Range Wyoming elopement goals for sure! Who says you have to plan a summer wedding? These two rocked winter and showed everyone that a snowy elopement is so special and unique!

Rick and I have photographed some pretty cold weddings. This however definitely takes the cake. When photographing this wintry Snowy Range Wyoming elopement, we definitely dressed for the weather. We both had on base layers, mid layers, winter coats, hats, boots and especially gloves. There was no way we were going to miss capturing any of their special moments because of cold or weather.

What a beautiful and dramatic entrance Selena made with her Father. You could hear them breaking trail but could not SEE them until the very last moment when they walked out of the trees. Love this photo of Phillip seeing his bride for the first time.

Those gloves!!! Absolutely love them, wondering if I could rock them in everyday life here in wintry Wyoming lol.

Love how deeply personal their ceremony was. Friends and loved ones showed up in such a big way for them. It was super touching!

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

Isn’t this the most perfect winter elopement spot? It is completely off the beaten path and located on the property of the Snowy Range Ski Area. It is so stunning up there!

There is just something so special about writing your own vows. Reading the words you’ve penned, out loud to the one you love is so moving. There really is nothing like it, we recommend personally written vows for sure!

I couldn’t resist, this photo of her holding her vows with those adorable gloves just HAD to be captured!

Love this beautiful moment as Selena’s best friend captures their ceremony. What a beautiful way to be able to look back upon this day and remember how it felt.

We didn’t actually meet Phillip until the ceremony. Since these two traveled from out of state for their Snowy Range Wyoming elopement, we had spoken to them only through phone and email. One thing was apparent the second he began reciting his vows however, he was head over heels in love with her.

Rick always loves to photograph the bride while the groom is reciting his vows. This photo is made extra special because her Father is in it. In some ways each promise Phillip made to Selena was also a promise made to her Father. That he would be sure to love, cherish and honor his daughter all the days of her life.

I remember giggling a bit as we all tried to clap for their first kiss with our mitten clad hands. Instead of applause it just sounded like tiny thuds, like someone had switched out the sound.

Isn’t this wintry family photo with her Mom & Dad so WYOMING?!

Love how their proud family and friends just beamed with happiness for these two and their new union.

After their Snowy Range Wyoming elopement ceremony, we stole them for a few minutes to photograph some bridal formals. Emphasis on the few minutes portion as it was pretty much below zero and we were all freezing! God blessed us with beautiful light for this exceptional couple which made our job pretty easy.

We just adored the colors Selena chose for her bouquet. They were as classic, dramatic and perfect she she was!

Underneath her amazing fur cape, Selena sported an equally cute winty sweater and skirt combo. She was so brave to remove her cape allowing us to photograph a few images of her in this attire as well.

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

What girl isn’t seriously swooning right now over this cape and gloves? I am telling you I NEED these in my life!

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

This couple was so sweetly in love with one another that the cold didn’t even matter. They relished in the beautiful time they had together as only two and it was such a pleasure to photograph them.

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

Is it just me or does her ring have a bit of of snowflake shape to it as well?

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

Love this sweet portrait of the two if them, her hair and makeup help up amazingly in the sub zero temps.

There is something so special about the way newly married couples look at one another. Oh if we could all just bottle that up!

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

I told you these two broke trail for the ceremony. This Snowy Range Wyoming elopement was in the mountains, off the beaten path and to get there you had to walk through snow the entire way.

After their ceremony they had a private reception inside the Old Corral in one of their event rooms. This was different than our other winter elopements, for example Lisa & Curtis

The beautiful snowy and wintry theme continued in their decor and we were so impressed that even planning from another state they managed to deck the space out to perfection.

Aren’t these bride and groom toasting glasses just adorable?

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

A single table for everyone in attendance allowed for such a laid back and relaxed dinner.

Custom etched glasses were given as wedding favors, such a great idea.

Toasts were given by their parents and you could just FEEL the love in the room.

Love that all the parents were involved, here is Phillip’s Dad proudly toasting the happy couple.

In addition to the person toasting is is so important to also photograph the reaction of those being toasted.

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

Im pretty sure these two have never felt more LOVED than they did that day.

Phillips lovely mother, toasting the happy couple…

Not only did she speak about the two of them but also had some special words just for her son.

Phillip is just beaming with happiness here as his Mother speaks to him.

What started as a laid back dinner during this Snowy Range Wyoming elopement gave way to dancing. Here is the happy Mr & Mrs enjoying their first dance.

Hand in hand their first dance was perfection!

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

The room just had such an ambiance to it, photographing them amidst the lovely twinkle lights was such a treat!

How jovial and happy is her Father for their father daughter dance?

Snowy Range Wyoming Elopement

Now we know where Selena got her amazing smile from.

Mother son dance with Phillip, doesn’t she just look so proud of him in this one?

These dances were so special. Some elopements feel silly having events, as if an elopement ought to not be the same as a wedding. We always say to keep the events that make you excited. Your elopement is YOUR special day and it can and should include everything that makes you happy!
