WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS LARAMIE | Troy & Victoria

Rick and I love being wedding photographers Laramie is such a great city and is super close to gorgeous mountain scenery. We love to take our kids hiking as we look for potential spots for our upcoming sessions. On one such hike, when we returned to the car only to find Troy parked right next to us! Rick and I attend Laramie Valley Chapel here in Laramie, WY and have had the pleasure of taking a Bible institute class offered by the seminary there. Troy not only attended seminary there but is also now an instructor! It has been amazing to see The Lord use him in such an impactful way and that day he had some wonderful news to share! He was engaged, to a wonderful girl names Victoria in North Carolina! He mentioned that he had proposed to here in winter not too far from where we were all hiking! We were absolutely thrilled when we saw a message sometime later asking for info on an engagement session!

When Victoria came to visit we definitely knew that incorporating some of the same areas as their proposal would be special and important. It also just so happens that Centennial, WY and specifically the Snowy Range is one of our FAVORITE places as well. It wasn’t hard at all to pick some gorgeous spots for Victoria and Troy’s photos. God blessed us with a gorgeous day and warm delicious sunshine and viola! This really is one of our favorite engagement sessions from this past season. Not only because of our couple and the locations but because we had a special guest come along with us! Mylee is a high school student here in Laramie as has a passion and talent for photography. With our couples OK we were able to bring her along for some hands on photography experience. Reading about photography or photographing objects is so different than directing people and working in nature. It was so wonderful to see her coming out of her shell, giving direction and taking chances with her images!

Victoria it was so nice to finally meet you! We can absolutely see how Troy fell head over heels for you and we are too excited to have you be a part of our church family now. It is exciting to see the way The Lord has worked in Troy’s life and we cannot wait to see what He has in store for the two of you. As professional wedding photographers Laramie WY boasts some amazing locations. Growing up in Denver it was always an hour or two drive to get any where remotely close to the mountains. We are so blessed that locations like THIS are just over a half an hour away. Troy and Victoria are natural born adventurers and so one of our goals for their session was to really capture this through their images. PS God gave us an EXCEPTIONAL canvas with this mountain don’t you think? Still dreaming of this gorgeous outdoor location flooded with glorious sunshine!

From one end of portraiture to the other. Epic mountain scenery can sometimes tempt us to photograph in a stoic dramatic fashion. Equally important to us however was capturing Victoria and Troy as they are. These two seem to not only love birds but also amazing friends. Loved photographing them as they needled and teased each other and spent the majority of their session laughing!

When it comes to wedding photographers Laramie has some really amazing options. What was unique about Victoria and Troys story however is that they were planning on being married in North Carolina. Troy proposed to Victoria one snowy day in Centennial while she was out here for a visit. Although they now call Laramie home at the time they were splitting their time between both of these places. We wanted to capture the FEEL of Wyoming in their set.

Isn’t Victoria’s dress so amazing! It is just so spring, lovely and perfect for the vast mountainous locations we chose for them. Love the style these two brought to their session. Don’t let them fool you though as later on they also donned some jerseys and jeans for a totally different look.

I promised you jerseys right?! Troy is originally from Nebraska. For their wedding photographers Laramie clients wouldn’t be caught dead in Nebraska jerseys since there is such a huge rivalry between the University of Wyoming Pokes and the Nebraska Corn Huskers. Victoria is such a great sport and in a true one your way one my way fashion agreed to wear red for Troy as long as he was game for repping here favorite sport, soccer…

I am so glad these two were up for the hike down to this gorgeous bridge. Not pictured here is the roaring waterfall… Not only was it a wonderful hike but this also happens to be almost exactly where Troy proposed. I so love it when Rick and I are able to photograph our couple in a PLACE that is so special to them. Now they totally have photos there in both seasons.

Aren’t they just too adorable? This is taken with a telephoto lens which allows us to photograph in an up close manner while we are actually a pretty good distance away from our clients. This extra room allows for them to forget we are taking their photos and just become lost in both each other and the moment. This often results in real, candid and authentic moments between our brides and grooms captured in images forever. Love Victoria’s sweet smile in this one!

This absolutely gorgeous image came from my husband Rick. He constantly blows me away with the level of creativity he brings to his craft. Love the risks he took in this photo leaving Victoria & Troy a bit underexposed. You can FEEL yourself amidst the wildflowers, seeing that gorgeous sun flare and listening to the waterfall sounds. This is just romantic and dreamy, we hope these two love birds thought so too!
