Any St Albans Chapel wedding is always a treat for us to photograph! This venue really is one of a kind and one of our favorite places to photograph. Couple this stunning location with a couple who planned a vintage, forest inspired wedding day and you’ve got magic!
Gillian & Jonny share a love for all things outdoors and even more so for each other. You can see this woodsy romantic vibe carried throughout her bridal jewelry, their ceremony decor and even their wedding rings! We loved all the vintage and heirloom pieces Gillian incorporated into her day. In fact her wedding dress originally belonged to her grandmother and Gillian’s mother was also married in that same dress. None of these ladies had to make any alterations to the dress as they were all the exact same size when they got married!
Wyoming weather can be unpredictable and their wedding day was actually very windy and chilly as well. Not to let that steal their joy, these two bundled up and pressed on, excited to be saying I Do. They had handwritten vows which they read to each other and brought many of their guests to tears. It was also special to see many of their friends who were musicians, play or sing special pieces during their ceremony.
After they were newly husband and wife we traveled to all of the best locations that the Snowy Range has to offer. Many of them unique to our clients and off the beaten path. We wanted their bridal formals to be just as spectacular as their love for one another!
Gillian and Jonny, thank you so much for choosing us to be a small part of your BIG day. We know there are wonderful things in store and we cannot wait to see what life will hold for you.
Here are our favorite photos from Gillian & Jonny’s St Albans Chapel wedding:

The dress Gillian chose for her St Alban’s Chapel Wedding was actually her Mother’s wedding dress! Isn’t it stunning?

Absolutely so in love with all of the vintage details when it came to Gillian’s wedding style. I mean that clutch is to die for!

Black and white was just SO perfect for this photo of her Mom’s helping her with the dress.

This just feels so timeless… the dress, the lighting, Gillian looked absolutely radiant!

One of the perks about having a St Albans Chapel wedding is that there are numerous places to choose for the getting ready portion of the day. Jonny and his family got ready at Snowy Mountain Lodge.

It was such a cozy wintry space that was just perfect for them!

We thought it was so special the way Gillian & Jonny chose to include their sweet families in their getting ready.

Gillian & Jonny’s bridal party included MULTIPLE musicians who treated their guests to lovely music during their ceremony.

You wouldn’t know it based on how gracefully these two are coming down the aisle but it was possibly the windiest it has ever been at the Chapel.

These two lovebirds read handwritten vows to one another during their St Albans Chapel wedding.

Possibly the PRETTIEST hand written vows ever… am I right?!

It was so special how devoted and head over heels in love with one another they are. Inspirational for sure!

Both Gillian and Jonny work for the national park service. For their ceremony decor they chose beautiful pine boughs that just elevated that mountain chapel making it just the right amount of fancy for their day.

We always adore photo journalistic photos like these, who doesn’t want a thumbs up on the way back down the aisle with your new bride!

Couples come down the aisle after being married always have this moment. I bet if you are married you can even remember when you had this same moment. The moment you look each other in the eyes and think ‘WE DID IT!’

Jonny and his guys looked so classic and dapper for their groomsmen photos.

Gillian was SUPER thoughtful and gave each of her bridesmaids these really cute plaid shawls to keep warm!

Isn’t their little family of THREE the cutest?

One of the things we absolutely love to do for our St Albans Chapel wedding couples is visit some of our favorite spots on the mountain. We try to pick locations that vary scenery and really capture the best parts of the Snowy Range for their bridal portraits.

I bet you wouldn’t be surprised to learn Gillian was a dancer. Love the chivalrous vibe in this one.

Individual portraits of both the bride and groom are a must on the wedding day!

What a classic combo Jonny chose for the wedding day.

These two are so natural and just authentically head over heels for one another.

Ok they totally rocked this location especially, the looks like a scene from an old romantic movie.

Can we give a little bit of love to that adorable flower crown tho?!

Around here we LOVE using layering in our photos to really add depth to the scene…

Another one of our fave locations. Sometimes this field is full of wildflowers, but it is always a stunning spot with our without blooms.

There are so many places we love to take our St Albans Chapel wedding clients. We don’t always have the time for that but these two made sure there was plenty of time built in for photos.

So fun fact… Gillian’s rings are custom made. If they remind you a bit of something you would see in a forest, you are spot on! Even the blue was chosen specially to convey the look of juniper berries!
