We first met Mickayla when she was at a bridal show looking for a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer. Rick and I had photographed for her friend Malorie and ever since seeing those photos she had been wanting to inquire with us. We connected at the show and hit the wedding client lottery as she and Matt were so much fun to work with. We were intrigued by their idea for a backyard wedding, it sounded so quaint and intimate. Let us be the first to tell you however how over the top, magnificent and memorable their big day was. From the stunning decor, to the heart felt toasts each event of their day was more perfect than the last.
We are so excited to show off this beautiful wedding and hope you enjoy this blog post glimpse of everything they were able to dream up!

Mickayla’s dress was absolutely to die for. We just LOVED the pearl theme throughout all of her bridal attire.

Mickayla’s Mom’s home was just lovely and served as the perfect back drop for getting ready.

Surrounded by family and friends, the morning was just absolutely perfect.

Isn’t her hair absolutely stunning? She was just the absolute picture of beauty and grace on her big day. As a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer we just love telling the whole story of the day, including all the prep that happens during the getting ready process.

One thing that was super cool to know about her getting ready is that the same family friend who helped with her hair has been doing Mickayla’s hair since she was a little girl!

Her dress was adorned with so many beautiful buttons. This meant she definitely needed some help finishing while putting on her wedding dress.

Love how her Mom was such a big part of the morning. It was so sweet seeing her help with getting ready.

What do you do when you need to know how to fold a pocket square? YOUTUBE to the rescue of course.

Matt’s attire was such a perfect match to Mickayla’s, these two looked amazing together!

We just love thoughtful gifts like these, what a beautiful watch!

Aren’t Matt and his fellas just so dapper and handsome!

Mickayla’s attendants looked so good! Love how there was variation with the colors.

Matt is pictured here waiting for her to come down the aisle.

Loved the beautiful entry doors they chose to use for their aisle. They definitely built in a lot of drama and suspense for when Mickayla came down the aisle.

Now who doesn’t want a reaction like Matt’s when he saw his bride coming down the aisle. As a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographers we were here for it for sure!

I bet Matt remembers exactly what this moment FELT like.

Dying over how flawless Mickayla’s makeup was and how gorgeous she looked in her dress.

Isn’t their octagonal arch just the most unique thing ever? Loved the floral elements as well.

In leau of a unity candle these two planted a tree with soil from each of their homes. Being a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer we see a lot of unity ceremonies. We have never seen anything like this and thought is was such a clever idea to symbolize two becoming one.

This is the part where it all becomes official!

Isn’t this the best down the aisle reaction ever!? These love birds were so pumped to be husband and wife.

The light, her dress, and those gorgeous flowers… Mickayla & Matt’s big day has this Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer absolutely spoiled for sure!

Love how easy going and happy go lucky this sweet couple was!

True story: When Mickayla was little she would play in these exact trees on her families property. We thought is was such a cute idea to take some of their wedding portraits in this same spot.

Ok Matt totally outdid himself with selection this beautiful ring. It was a pleasure to photograph as a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer. SO big, beautiful and bright as well!

If you’ve been oohing and aahing over this wedding at the Black Fox, let me tell you Iron & Ivory knocked it out of the park with this gorgeous event. Their rentals really brought together the whole vibe, their stuff is super cute!

The farm house family style feel to their reception was so magical. Once the sun went down everyone was under a canopy of stars which was so romantic.

That cake though, seriously… It looked like a work of art and as a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer we see a LOT of cakes. We can also vouch for how delicious it was as well!

Mickayla had been collecting wine glasses and by the time their wedding occurred she had amassed quite a collection. Guests were able to choose their perfect glass and also take it home with them as a party gift.

The toasts given by their friends and family were heart felt and moving for sure. Being a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer we hear a lot of toasts. These were exceptional for sure.

Love this image of Mickayla & Matt just lost in each other and totally in the moment.

Is this not the sweetest moment ever. Being a Cheyenne Wyoming wedding photographer we see plenty of father daughter dances. These two were just so perfect out on the dance floor, you could just feel the love!

It was so unique and thoughtful, our sweet bride also built in a special reception dance for her Mom too!

We also thought it was adorable that during the Mother & Son dance, Matt and his Mom were surprised by a special and adorable guest!

Here you can see not only that work of art cake of theirs but also some of the delicious dessert bar they had for guests. It was so hard to choose what to eat, everything looked so scrumptious!
