We are SO excited to share Kaitlyn & Jake’s Black Fox on Welsh wedding with you all. This was such an emotional, loved filled and exceptional day! We knew these two were super fun after photographing an engagement session with them earlier in our season. What we didn’t know however is that their bridal party would also bring so much fun. We spent the day laughing (and crying) and just so in love with their wedding day.
I really hope we did their BIG day justice. We really wanted to showcase and capture how special everything was. I think Rick and I both teared up a bit during their vows. It’s hard not to be touched by such head over heels love. Their reception decor was AH-MAZE-ING and so much fun to photograph. The ladies at The Black Fox on Welsh were so helpful and really helped these two execute the perfect wedding. Toasts from the bridal party were so honest and sentimental, it was really cool to see how much their friend groups have been through in this life. Their reception was super fun for sure, but with Nyasha from Party Pros as your DJ that is totally a given!
Kaitlyn & Jake, you two are an inspiration. You love one another so deeply and it was our honor to try and tell your story through photos. Thank you for choosing us to be a small part of your big day! We cannot wait to see what the future will hold for you, but we have no doubts that it will be amazing.
Now who is ready to see some of their photos already? Without further ado….

This Black Fox on Welsh wedding was amazing when it came to their event space. It was so fun to roam this beautiful Venue and photograph all Kaitlyn & Jake’s important details!

It isn’t often you find wedding shoes that are super cute AND comfy, but leave it to our clever bride to make sure she had it all!

These two were so thoughtful and sentimental. Love how even down to their vow books everything was lovely and just had such a heirloom quality to it.

When you plan a Black Fox on Welsh wedding, you get the most beautiful bridal sweet. All of the window light was just beautiful for showcasing just how stunning Kaitlyn was.

OK I may have died a little over all of her bridal jewelry. It was so sparkly and amazing but also high quality. The kinds of pieces that you really do keep forever.

Always love little detail shots like this, even more so in black and white!

Isn’t she so radiant? Kaitlyn’s dress was so timeless and romantic! This is by far our favorite Black Fox on Welsh wedding to date!

Again with how amazing this venue space is! Loved that Jake and his guys were able to use this amazing library setting to get wedding ready.

One of the biggest thing clients love about us being a husband and wife wedding team is being able to have things captured for the Bride & THE GROOM. This is really evident during getting ready. It’s really cool ad unique to see what Jake’s morning looked like and the camaraderie with his fellas. Sometimes this ends up having the best candid and photojournalistic shots like Devon & Sam’s Jackson Hole Wedding.

These custom cuff links are amazing. We do see cuff links often gifted but the fact that these were in a gorgeous dark metal was so unique!

Aren’t the leis they wore for the ceremony so unique and cool?

PS: Their flower girls were absolutely adorable!

Seeing the look on Kaitlyn’s face as she saw Jake at the front of the aisle was so sweet.

Jake definitely had happy tears when seeing his bride for the first time as she came down the aisle. THIS is why Rick and I are on team ‘no first look’ what an incredible reaction.

These two wrote their own beautiful and personal wedding vows. There is just something about reading your own words that is so special.

These two were head over heels for one another and you could definitely FEEL that during their ceremony.

Saying yes to forever and sealing it with a ring…

Isn’t there something about giving someone your forever that just makes you cry tears of joy? This was definitely the case for Kaitlyn!

First kiss as husband and wife!

Jake and his gentleman looking so dapper! Love that he sported a jacket and they did not.

Do you know that for her Black Fox on Welsh wedding, Kaitlyn allowed her ladies to choose their own dresses. They chose the style, the color,k the material. We have never before had a bride be so hands off and just allow their bridesmaids to choose something they really loved!

This group was really fun. We had a blast cheering, laughing and wait till you see this next photo and you will definitely know what we mean…

When the groomsmen ask if they CAN throw the groom into the air you do two things. First you make sure the groom is on board lol and two you make sure you get the shot and capture how it felt! Love the creativity in this one.

Kaitlyn’s hair was so free and beautiful, the breeze just added to her loveliness.

One unique things about a Black Fox on Welsh wedding is that their property runs along the river. They not only have cultured gardens and a beautiful lawn but there are so many other options for photos as well. We are suckers for tall golden rod grasses for sure!

It started to lightly sprinkle down rain as we finished up their bridal formals but you would never know. Doesn’t Kaitlyn look so stunning and totally not affected by a rain drop or seven lol.

Jake had the most perfect green suit. We have never seen that color before and really thought it looked great on him!

Bridal formals are easy when there are wildflowers everywhere to be seen!

Loved how carefree and easy these two were. Their love was definitely on full display.

I can’t even, this shot is just too adorable!

Loved incorporating the event venue space in the background as well!

One thing you will notice right off the bat for any Black Fox on Welsh wedding is the DECOR! Bride’s are allowed coveted access into their amazing inventory of amazing decor and details!

Love how to the wildflower theme also continued into the reception, but make it FALL colored!

Their rings were so classic and timeless.

This really is the prettiest event space in Laramie, what an amazing gem of a venue.

All the Fall vibes here, so pretty.

The hand painted signs used throughout the reception were so perfect.

Yummmmm am I right? These were not only beautiful but also delicious! The Cakery in Fort Collins really outdid themselves!

Toasts were so touching, love that they have lifetime friends who were honored to stand with them on such an important day.

Words from the heart shared among friends, aren’t weddings amazing?

These two toasted TOGETHER and we loved that!

This angle from above is super cool, loved seeing how creative Rick was when photographing this wedding.

Gorgeous window light for cake cutting? Let’s Go!

I don’t know what is prettier, their gorg cake topped or Kaitlyn.s carefree laugh in the background.

First dance time…

Love how their dance was lit by twinkle lights, how romantic!

Kaitlyn shared a special dance with her Mom which I thought was so touching!

With events over and done with it was time to bring on the fun!

Doesn’t this look like the most fun reception to attend!?

The groomsmen were out to have an amazing time for sure!
