WEDDING AT DEERWOOD RANCH | Des & Matt

Readers of our blog are in for a treat with this post! Des & Matt’s wedding at Deerwood Ranch was filled with rustic decor, true love and the one of the most fun receptions ever. These two were surrounded by amazing friends and family. It was a treat that they invited us into their world to document it all.

We had such a blast as these two said I DO! We were absolutely enamored with how fully these two live, love and complete one another. They were up for touring the ranch for wedding portraits and roaming the grounds allowed us to create some amazing images. Enjoy some of our favorite images from their big day:

For their wedding at Deerwood Ranch, Des & Matt totally spoiled us! It was so fun taking her detail shots at this gorgeous wedding venue.

The ladies of the bridal party were so much fun, love how they did anything and everything they could to make this day run smoothly.

When we have a wedding at Deerwood Ranch, their getting ready suite is top notch. Lots of natural light and rustic wood.

Her Mom helped her with all of her finishing touches, from jewelry to shoes.

For this wedding at Deerwood Ranch, the couple chose to have a plant watering ceremony as their unity piece. What a cute personalized pot they chose.

This cutie here happens to be the daughter of some of our favorite past Ardent Clients. Her Daddy is the brother of the groom so they were both in the bridal party and it was so nice to see them!

Des & Matt decided that Matt would face away from the Aisle until the moment she walked down it.

I am such a sucker for this moment. Love seeing the proud Dad’s with their babygirls on their arm.

All of the anticipation definitely built from facing away, but it was officially time for Matt to turn around.

Doesn’t this photo just say it all? These two have a love so true and pure.

Black and white photography is so classic and captures this moment beautifully.

Again with these two being absolutely adorably in love…

Don’t you just love the sage green that Des chose for her ladies dresses?

Jeans for the gentleman is just SO WYOMING and we are totally here for it. We also saw this trend with Nate & his guys for this Laramie wedding.

When you choose to have your wedding at Deerwood Ranch, you can be sure that wide open prairie views are totally on the menu!

Their wedding sign was such a cute detail esp with the cow hide rug and lantern decor.

The new Mr & Mrs, for the first time!

What a great group of guys! Their bridal party was so amazing and lots of fun.

All white floral is just so lovely, especially in wildflower form.

Guess there is absolutely no hiding who stole the show here.

What a gem this rustic wooden fence was, perfect for bridal party photos.

This one still cracks us up. When someone suggested this based on a butt sticking out pose the groom pulled out from time to time we were totally there for it.

Love that these two were totally up for exploring the property and finding all of its hidden gems location wise. I mean what would a wedding at Deerwood Ranch be without overgrown pasture, beautiful creeks and even wild horses!

The vest jeans combo was so simple and classic.

So timeless and beautiful especially in black and white.

Their venue had the prettiest creek running through. Even in formal attire these two were up for the trek to the creek bed. Loved this shot of the two of them from afar.

The tall hay meadow wheat grass was such a treat for photos.

Hand in hand now as husband and wife.

Is this doesn’t sum up a wedding at Deerwood Ranch, we don’t know what does. What an absolutely stunning wedding venue. It fit these two so well!

Not to be outdone by that RING of course, love how it has such a vintage classic feel to it.

Their wedding was just filled with amazing decor & details.

This was a first and hopefully the first of many… They had CRUMBL COOKIES as their wedding dessert!

Toasts are always one of our favorite parts of the day.

It is always a toss up if they will be heartfelt or funny. But one thing is for sure, they are always amazing and it is so fun to hear all about the couple.

Matt was the best man at his brother Jason’s wedding. Jason being the best man at Matt’s wedding made for some payback when it came to the speech. It was funny, heartfelt and definitely a treat to see these two joke and laugh about their life together.

One of the things Rick and I really try to focus on is showing multiple sides of moments throughout the day. Not just the toast but also the reactions of the bride and groom.

The couple’s first dance as husband and wife.

Love how this photo feels… real, intimate and heart felt.

Parent dances are always a treat, I am especially a sucker for these.

I think as a wedding photographer AND parent’s, we always fast forward and think about our own kiddos wedding days.

Aren’t you just so in love with their wedding decor? I know we are.

The whole rustic barn feel of this wedding at Deerwood Ranch was to die for. I swear I chose to backlit so many photos with those sparking twinkle lights.

One thing that absolutely stood out about Des & Matt’s reception was how fun it was! Everyone was definitely there to dance and have a great time!

So much fun out on the dance floor. It all started with a super fun bride and groom however, showing everyone how it is done.

Their DJ did such a fantastic job keeping everyone out on the dance floor.

Rick and always joke that the BEST dancing always starts right after the photographer leaves. This allows people to cut loose and not worry about any photo evidence lol. Love this one of Matt getting down!
